At CCL Cleaners we are committed to running our cleaning services efficiently as possible, ensuring that we minimise energy use without negatively affecting our operations. We have different features in our offices to help reduce energy use such as on-demand hot water boilers, LED lighting and motion-sensitive lighting. Our environmental procurement guidelines include information on electrical equipment use, re-use and replace so we can ensure we choose efficient devices.

Why are we doing this?

Our company management and workforce are passionate about protecting our planet Earth. CCL Cleaners and managers are sent from time to time to a training courses for learning new things about sustainability and how to do this more efficiently. Our environmental policy is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Aims to assist keep up the global movement of environmental and social responsibility.

The key points in our strategy to achieve this are as follows:

  • Encouraging energy conservation where possible.

  • Encouraging to reduce printing and paper use.

  • Encouraging careful avoidance of waste by assessing methods, actions, work processes and ensuring they are as accurate as possible.

  • We keep in mind of the 3 Rs to reduce, reuse, recycle. Actively stimulating recycling both internally and amongst customers and suppliers utilising re-cycled materials and re-usable packaging where possible.

  • We have a responsibility to handle and control our waste in the most sustainable way possible, in line with our mission to lessen pollution and wasteful consumption.

  • Meeting all new legislations with regards to toxic emissions and pollution.

  • Tailoring and expanding our Environmental Management System accredited to BS EN ISO 14001
